Overview Équipements Industriel Joliette (EIJ) has always prioritized the well-being of its team. Initially, the company transformed a small office into a modest workout room equipped with cardio machines. Employees embraced the space and requested additional equipment to diversify their workouts, especially with strength training options. This is where Alpha Fitness stepped in to help EIJ expand and upgrade their gym, ensuring the team’s health and wellness needs were fully met.

What Makes This Gym Unique The highlight of EIJ’s gym transformation was the employees’ enthusiasm for fitness, which motivated management to invest further in their wellness. Employees commented that they love being able to work out before or after their work shifts as well as on their lunch break, making the gym an integral part of their daily routine. The gym now features a centerpiece 4-stack jungle (multistation), offering employees a variety of exercise options. Additionally, the inclusion of strength equipment, such as a squat rack, bench, and a set of dumbbells, complements the existing cardio equipment in the newly expanded space.

The Challenge The original gym setup was small and focused solely on cardio equipment. The challenge was to reimagine the space to include versatile strength training options while keeping the layout functional and inviting for all employees.

Alpha Fitness’s Contribution Alpha Fitness worked closely with EIJ to deliver a comprehensive upgrade:

• Gym Expansion: Assisted in moving the cardio machines to a larger area to make room for new strength equipment.
• Centralized Multistation: Installed a 4-stack jungle as the gym’s focal point, allowing multiple users to train simultaneously with a variety of exercises.
• Strength Equipment: Added a squat rack, bench, and a full set of dumbbells for compound movements and versatile workouts.
• Optimized Layout Designed a layout that maximized the use of space while maintaining a smooth flow throughout the gym.
